Wanted: An assimilated asylum seeker
From Syria (or similar)
To leverage my goodness
And charter my way to medals, media and morons
Who wish there were more of me
Wash him
He should read and write
He must not steal and yet
He has every right
To be mightily disturbed
(How brave she is to take him on)
And the pages people read
Will see that it is bringing me hope and
Extending my horizons
And something just should be done
(How selfless she is)
And everyone should do their bit
(How clearly she lights the way)
It could also be a she
If she plays along and
Leaves the beauty part well alone
Bowed head and grateful heart
I’d put her in a pinny
But that’s a little out of date
